How to: Scale a picture in a PowerPoint slide.
Solution:
Select a picture and select 'Scale...' from the 'Draw' menu. Type a percentage in the 'Scale To' box.
NOTE: Click 'Preview' at any time, to view changes without changing the picture.
1) Select (single-click) the desired picture. (Handles appear around the picture.)
2) Select the 'Draw' menu and select 'Scale...'. (The 'Scale' dialog box appears.)

3) Do one or more of the following to scale the picture:
a) Type the percentage to scale the picture in the 'Scale To' box.
b) Select the 'Relative to Original Picture Size' check box.
c) Select the 'Best Scale for Slide Show' check box.
NOTE: The 'Best Scale for Slide Show' option does not work without having selected 'Relative to Original Picture Size'.
d) Select the desired resolution from the 'Resolution' drop-down list box.
4) Click 'OK'.
NOTE: If the picture has been incorrectly resized, set the scale back to 100%.
